This is what happened in that race:
The car maker was rushed to release there next car so it was incomplete. so in the first lap in the race the driver hated the car. so he took a pit stop and the mechanics fashioned a gigantic addon to make the car better. this did make the car better and the driver had major success for the nest 20 laps. then the pit cheif called in and told the driver that they have more addons to make the car better. but the driver had a choice. he either had to take one big pit stop to add all the add ons or take individual pit stops through out the race. both of these decisions would put him back in the race .so he chose the gigantic add on which put him 2 laps behind the leader. the add ons made the car 10 seconds faster than the leader every lap so he was catching up. and then the pit chief called in one last time and told the driver that they are scrapping the current car and giving him a new one.
And that is the story of battlefield 3. Doh! i mean the battlefield 4 car.
