The P-40/1S12 Long Track S-band acquisition radar is often cited as the mobile acquisition component in Strela 10 SAM batteries, although its primary purpose was supporting the SA-4 Ganef system. It uses a modified tank chassis to provide high cross country mobility. The antenna stows flat on the roof of the vehicle. Eight stacked beams are used for heightfinding
