Naruto Parody.....

GAH indeed.
western cartoons such as the simpsons and others of its like do not mix with cool eastern anime.
Some of them are, quite simply, works of art with such serious plots I would never expect western cartoons to make. They're so well written and so planned out that every episode fits so nicely together that its more like reading a novel or watching a good movie. It doesn't turn into the series you see in america where every episode is generated only a couple of months in advance with no direction and writers just try to milk ratings to get from season to season.
But there is alot of anime out there with pretty much the same level of maturity as family guy or the simpsons or whatever ... The difference however is that anime gives off the impression to the majority of western culture as being inappropriately sexed up ...
Then again, if series like "Genshiken" have any basis in the reality of culture in japan, Anime is not that socially acceptable there either ...
