-Why is it now "it" is no threat, and "it" is a simple farmer; (yet you've still got "he" does not possess)?

-Are you going for gender neutrality? In which case you should probably use "they". ie.
I believe they are no threat; they are a simple farmer, nothing else. They do not possess any power, my lord...
-(the sound of the above is a bit off, though)

-Or are you trying to give the impression that the Imp (and his master) see humans as 'lowly' creatures (like animals), unworthy of being acknowledged as *people*? Then you'd use 'it', yeah, but make it consistent, so:
it is no threat
it is a simple farmer
It does not possess any power
