Release day is coming closer and reflecting on the development, it's amazing how much you learn.

I always knew that my friend was working on this game and even saw some VERY early builds. He was trying to put the visuals in and was having issues putting it in paper. I used to draw a bit in school (majored in inner-cover-textbook-doodling) and gave it a go. Armed with my new iPad stylus (which was a crayon), I sent him the weapons redrawn. They looked great in game and he was amazed that I could draw. Needless to say I became the main content artist.

Since then I taught myself 3d rendering/compositing/texturing in Blender, honed my photoshop skills (broke my stylus) and learned more than I ever wanted to about sprite packing. There have been some VERY steep learning curves and by no means has this been easy. I still have SO much to learn, but it's amazing how helpful and kind people are in the indie/freelance industry. Considering also that I have a full time job, a family, and a healthy gaming life, I find it amazing that I've had time to draw ANYTHING!

To any artists/developers out there I would love to hear how you got involved in game making/drawing.
