WinningHand is a tactical turn-based card game, where battles are fought between opposing armies in the form of decks of cards. The game also has a strategic element for longer play, where cities can be captured and used to purchase cards for your armies. Different races have different cards available with different strengths and weaknesses, and cards can use different actions in battle, ranging from healing spells to offensive moves, applying buffs and debuffs, or intimidating opponents. Tactical decisions are important, and you can event choose a formation for your cards before a battle begins to maximize the effectiveness of certain moves or minimize the damage specific cards will receive.
In version Alpha 1.4 of WinningHand the purchase screen has been modified to make flicking through available cards simpler. The screenshot also demonstrates a purchased spell card, visible in front of the purchased battle cards.
