The closed beta testing is on. We had the first A0 pilot since plane system was finalized. When you complete 'Mountain High' track challenge, you become A0 pilot. Also a new feature was added to online ranking page. You can see rankings and each pilot's basic data at www.altitude0.com/rankings
Your own icon will look better for sure.
We are adding new features (like saving and sharing replays) while removing bugs and optimizing the game to support different computer configurations.
Currently Altitude0 is still in closed beta stage. We will keep it closed until we are sure the system is stable enough to go to open beta. As more updates are available, we will let you know. Otherwise, if you are interested in testing the game, please join us at www.altitude0.com

Will be nice if you implement total plane destruction when you crashed. I know this it very hard, but this will fills emptiness that feels in this gameplay video. So I wanna know is this feature will be implemented in near future?
Hey that's a good idea, honestly we didn't think of that yet but we may want to put it in, in the future.
Currently there's just so much other stuff to be done before that like more tracks, track editor, skin editor and more.

Watching. I really liked Skydrift and always wanted to do an air racing game of my own. I agree, total plane destruction would be nice. I don't know how arcadey you want to go, but having specific points be damaged when you hit something would also be kind of neat to toy with if you could prototype it rapidly.
It looks good so far, I'm impressed with the fact that it's a custom engine.
Our beta testers are saying controls are quite realistic, which could be a bit hard for beginners. So we added simpler controls aka assisted controls, hopefully it's easy enough.
Otherwise, about plane destruction and different damage points on the plane: it sounds interesting. Wouldn't it be fun to see a plane flying without one wing? :) But seriously different parts of a plane could react differently depending on collision.
