Description
The Spell is a top down shooter game that combines fast paced combat and puzzles set in a medieval fantasy world. The wizard Arik will embark on a mission to his homeland, facing against his former friends and fellow wizards in an attempt to discover the reasoning behind their attacks on his new home.
History
The spell was started while at university as a project for learning to develop a top down game in the style of Hotline Miami. As time went on the project continued as a side project for fun between the developers and began to grow into a more ambitious project.
After finishing university and as the game grew and more features were added it was decided to try and bring the game into full time development to create a fully featured professional quality product. This lead to the release of our demo and since then we have been tweaking the gameplay based on feedback and working on future content in the game.
