For this game, I won't be able to have any voice acting for the character and I doubt it will ever have. I am thinking it to be more of those rpg game where you will read their speech bubble like in Golden Sun.

My plan is to give Sonya some personality with emoticons such as exclamation, sweats etc and small animations like jumps.
However, currently I am thinking of whether Sonya should be a silent protagonist or whether she will be able to reply.

For example, imagine a scene where a party of heroes are discussing what to do next (their plan of action). Should the scenario goes like:

1. Slient Sonya
"Then what will you suggest, dimwit" - A
"I say we bomb the place up!" - B
(Emoticon - "!!" for A, "Nod" for Sonya.)
"See, Sonya agree with me" - B
(=_=") - A

2. Talking Sonya
"Then what will you suggest, dimwit" - A
"I say we bomb the place up!" - B
(Emoticon - "!!" for A, "Nod" for Sonya.)
"Sounds fun, hehe.." - Sonya
"See, Sonya agree with me" - B
(=_=") - A

Which do you guys/girls think will work well? Both seems fine to me. But depend on what I choose It could possibly create different feels for the game.
What I am currently thinking of is that the advantage for the silent Sonya would allow more flexibility in term of sonya's personality while the talking Sonya will have a more characterise personality.
