The Hunted is a single-player fps game based off of the Darkplaces engine' It is completely standalone meaning you do not need any prior files to run it and it comes in a series called "Chronicles"' These "Chronicles" are used to having a continually flowing story and a difference from weaponry and other things found in-game' Each "Chronicle" tells the story of a lone survivor escaping the city that has been overcome by the infected' The infecteds' symptoms at the time of the survivor's adventure are not clear but as the chronicles are released the story unfolds to make it quite clear as to why, where, when, and how this survivor came to be in a horror show such as this' Chronicle - 1: Q' Where is my gun at the start? A' You start unarmed, and essentially defenseless' Q 'I picked up a weapon, but I don't know if I received it' A' key is knife and key is the pistol, which are the included possible items to receive in Chronicle - 1 Q' I can't...
A simple game based on the old school Quake engine. Not a bad effort at all. The premise is simple, avoid the zombies inside the house. Look for keys to unlock new areas, and find a tool to fight back.
If you're looking for a very simple game this will not disappoint.
To the dev: The option to turn off "always run" does not seem to produce effect; would be nice to hear the main characters steps as he walks. Overall, well done.
This game isnt really all that good in my opinion compared to the 2nd. The game is a little bit of a 'challenge' (which i believe was the main point) But it isn't actually that 'scary'
But still in the end worth a shot! But it was a sleight disappointment!
