The Burrow is a short interactive experience. The narrative develops through the player's interaction with the game's world. Every exchange is significant and becomes a part of the narrative. The Burrow has no single meaning as it appeals to the player's personal experience and feelings. The gameplay contains no opponents, enemies, or competition.

Well im flying from asteroid to asteroid and follow the butterflyies and ... realy i cant figure out what to do. I love creative games and love callange but ... at least some hints what to do would help every user! So its a nice "jump to the next asteroid feeling and test what happens when jumping into some holes" - Experience ... sad, cause i want to know whats next ... so it compleatly failed at this point. =(

What am I doing?

The Burrow is a complete waste of time. If IndieDB had a Blam opion like NG, I'd Blam it so hard. Experience the interactive monotony.

"The narrative develops through the player's interaction with the game's world." I would like to better understand what interactions one can do? Until two thirds into the "experience" I could do nothing but move the mouse around an look. Sorry but I found this a complete waste of time.

Jonathan Stemmildt here. I finally found the time to review this one. I was a bit confused with the ending, because I wasn't sure about it, but I liked the atmosphere and this definately shows potential in creating atmosphere. However it is a bit without any clue at all - and I ended up being a little bit confused. But, rating it as what it is - an atmosphere, it did great. I would like a real story in a games, but I have to praise The Burrow for this interesting approach to create a game that is based on only atmosphere and the players emotion and I like to see this. The question is, if this is possible in a bigger game and is it possible to lead a player through such an extraordinary experience without any confusion unless it's wanted. So I have to reward this anti-mainstream way to create a game and an atmosphere. I liked it! But I had more the feeling of playing a prototype than a full game. I would like to this expanded. The hard thing about this is that it has to be an perfect fitting atmosphere. Anyways! Good Job! JS

I really liked the idea of, "you are in space, have fun with that now!"
Took me a while to get the face to appear, and who knows what else you can do.

But I can honestly say I really enjoyed this little experiment!

It sucks

It's boring to me. It has ok graphics, relaxing music and setting but makes absolutely no sense and isn't fun to "play" in the least.

so i just played and it looks amazing there is no clear story yet you find it yourself it is really neat and inotive
