The Ancients is a game set on Earth. In 200BC. The Roman Republic is slowly taking the mediterranean by storm, the second of the punic wars has just ended, yet the war against Macedon has just begun - and this is just in Italy. Travel and explore the land and peoples, from the Lusitanians of the Iberian Peninsula to the ancient Ainu of Japan.

Top left: This is a scrollable list of NPCs and Players you know of. To the right is their "Emotion" towards you, which is generated by the Web Graph visible to the top center.
Status Icons:
Green (Player-only): Online
Red (Player-only): Offline
Purple (NPC-only): Dead
Blue (NPC-only): Alive
Yellow (NPC-only): Unknown
Top Center: This is a web graph that indicates the selected PC (Player) or NPC's emotions towards you. We may expand this to include more emotions later on.
The bar at the bottom of this indicates if they are politically your Enemy or Ally - this is seperate from the Emotion Graph because the political status of the Character is not emotion-orientated... Think "Romeo and Juliet".
Bottom Left: This is a list of relationships that the Character in question has, that you have found out about - either witnessing it, being told about it by the player, or learning about it by other means.
Bottom Center: This is a list of information that you know of about the character himself.
Top Right: This is a portrait of the character, as you last saw him - this will include any armour he was wearing.
Bottom Right: This is a list of skills that the character has, as far as you know about him.
