Jedi Civil War 2.0 file - Ages of Star Wars mod for Star Wars: Empire At War

when i click on the short cut jedi civil war with the lady jedi, it just tells me to download something. it opens the screen where it tells you 1)remove all earlier versions 2)extract files etc. but when i download it when i click on the shortcut again, it tells me to download it again. am i doing something rong?

ok so i figured out it wasnt the shortcut to EAW but i found the real shortcut but when i open it its just the original EAW, rebellion and empire. light factory makes T2-B tanks and rebel units like normal. am i still doing something wrong?

ok i love this mod but im having a problem were is the mandalorian units because theres a planet that says there they but no luck can anyone help me please

It says that there is something wrong with it. It does not start up. It just gives me an exception.

Oh yeah, I found a bug and got the Mod to work.

When you are at a ground battle as the republic and you are attacking this Sith where they have their Admiral Hero on the planet, he can not be killed. He has infinite health and you can't tell your troops to shoot at him.

Are the descriptions missing in the whole version or is something wrong with the download I had? Every unit and almost every planet is named *Missing*. So are the unit descriptions themselves...

I downloaded it, but when I open it, i just opens the original EAW. HELP PLEASE

Um, I downlaoded it and used the shortcut but only got the normal eaw game? is it just me? can some one help me out?

ok guys listen up i found out how to get passed the thing where it brings to the regular eaw. first you have to download the petroglyph launcher. its rly not hard to find just google it. wat ever site you get it from will teel u this. make a mod folder inside the dame data folder thing. when you use the installwer for this mod make the directory the mod folder inside of the eaw game data folder. launch from the petroglyph folder and ur good to go

and what about the "missing" thing?

I done that way, but the scripts are missing. Inside the mod folder there is a file with all the names, but I dunno what to do whith it...

Ahem, Hackdot, go to Empire At War/ GameData/ then ull see Data, etc. Right click, press New... keep ure mouse there and press new folder.....
itll appear in the Gamedata folder if not then URE SUPPOSED TO MAKE THE FOLDER INSIDE GAMEDATA! R-Click New Folder [the new folder] and press Rename...Erase New Folder and put in Mods, and insert the mod into the Mods directory.
Program Files/ Lucasarts/ Star Wars Empire At War/ Gamedata/ Mods/ Aosw

And btw, i rate 8/10, its no clone wars units just normal republic, no campaign but other than that id say its not bad not bad at all!

i downloaded the mod and extracted it when i run the shorcut from my dekstop its stil the old eaw can someone helm me ?

I was having the same problem as everyone else, and none of the above solutions worked for me. But I got it to work and I hope my method can help:

-extract anywhere
----for simplicity you could extract to the desktop
----don't extract into EAW's folder and you won't need a mod folder
-open the extracted folder "aosw_jcw" where ever you extracted it to
-go into the "data" folder and select all of the sub folders
-move thes folders into the "data" subfolder of the "game data" folder of the EAW folder
----just in case you don't know how to get to the games folder, right
click on the game icon and select "properties" then "find target"
----you will need to overwrite some folders
-thats it, you can even use the standard shortcut for EAW

(if you want to go back to the original or play another mod you will need to reinstall it)

If you felt like I insulted your intelligence with some of the instructions (how to get to EAW's folder) don't be, I clearly didn't write that for you I wrote it in case there is a novice who doesn't know how (and I have been frustrated by all to vauge instructions myself).

how can i get some of mod to work

To everyone who gets the original EAW game instead of the Ages of Star Wars Jedi Civil War game, there IS a solution to it.I had the same problem but I really wanted to play it, so this is what you can do fix the problem:

First - make sure you have at least 2-3 GB's of free disk space on your computer.

Second - completely copy your "Data" folder which is located inside the GameData folder, to any other place on your computer (C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War\GameData)

Then finally - copy the "Data" folder from the mod and paste it into the same place as your original "Data" folder is (C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War\GameData),
then when asked if you want to overwrite, click yes for all. After that just start up the original EAW game and you'll have "Ages of Star Wars" finally! :D then if you want to go back to EAW, just repeat the above steps, this time using that original "Data" folder you made a backup of earlier.
