Spyleaks has five sections each with five puzzle levels, a shooter level, and a timed escape puzzle sequence. The puzzle levels are played by moving blocks, shooting enemies and reaching the exit.

None of the levels are similar in terms of solution and they all provide a great challenge for even the most seasoned veteran puzzle gamers. Some levels take close to an hour to solve since they are cleverly well constructed. The levels are never harsh and deaths are always player's fault. The shooter levels consist on enemies scrolling down and player must shoot them as they come down, until the boss appears. The levels are a great diversion from the puzzles and are quite fun and challenging... they will challenge even the most hardcore gamer.
The timed escape puzzles give to player three minutes to get to the exit of the level. These sections are quite long, but each time the player will get a little bit farther, until he masters a previous section and start to fly through them much easily. These sequences provide a sense of thrill because of the time limit.
The controls are tight and don't ruin the game experience.
The music is well done and gives the right mood to the action. The songs change from jazzy noir theme to electronic music. The shooter sections have a chiptune feel and there's also an arabian themed song for the middle-east level. The work made for the music is amazing. Every section has is theme. Intermissions, mission starts, level completes, time escaped sequences... everytime the scene changes, you'll hear new music.

Spyleaks feels like an old 16 bit SNES game should, and give sort of a nostalgia feeling. The story tells of Spy, the best Spyleaks agent and Jules la Grande. While investigating a masterpiece robbery, they casually discover an international weapon smuggling ring. The game is great no matter what segment is being played and always looks great. This is the perfect game for those looking for a challenging puzzle game experience.
