You are Catherine Dubont. The Laser Drill opened a cavern 10 miles beyond the surface of the earth. They installed an elevator which you and some others took to go down all the way into the world of the unknown. As you almost reached the bottom of the drill hole, the elevator rope broke and the cabin dropped down the last 100 feet. Everyone is dead. All lights are gone. The only thing you have left is your modern sonar scanner.

Post news Report RSS SONAR: first trailer released

First trailer of SONAR released showing actual ingame footage.

The first trailer of SONAR is now online!

What you see there is actual game footage with all basic gameplay elements such as moving around and running, emitting sonar waves and throw rocks.

You will probably notice that the trailer only contains music as audio. The song used is the ingame music that is played when your oxygen value is low and you are going to die in the next three minutes. It is used in the trailer due to license issues.

You know, SONAR is a game about soundeffects and it bothers me to not show them to everyone interested, especially because I got pretty good reviews for that work from my friends. But, unfortunately, almost all of these soundeffects, which were downloaded at freesound.org, use the old sampling+ license which prohibits using them on promotional purpose.

Nevertheless, I hope this one pleases you and gives some insight of the game. For the soundeffects check out the demo which will be released this week.
