What is SMRI? Sid Meier’s Railroads!: Intercontinental (here in known as SMRI) has everything you could ask for: Tanks, missiles, cars, money and lots of it, speeds reaching 200 miles per hour, Military bases, horses, cows, cheese, and elfs! As well as train loads of other new goods to transport over twenty new maps. How long would it take you to play all this? Well we estimate that if you only played each map once it take you well over 21 hours, are these action packed hours? No not really, more like relaxingly addictive hours in which you forget to check the clock and realize you have to get to work, an hour ago. So in the end if you already own a copy of SMR it would be a crime to not install this mod, if you don't own SMR. Well go out and buy a copy, Steam sells it cheap. If you have already downloaded 1.0 pick up the 1.0-1.01 patch other wise head to our website for the full 1.01 installer....

The dual engines trains doesn't work. it's just crashes to desktop when loading any gods. Some of the other trains doesn't work either but otherwise it's a very good mod.
still crashing in windows vista
crashs within 5-10 min of playing. i have a 4 month old laptop on vista, i originally dl the patch first and then dl 1.01 and it still crashs.
ok I downloaded the SMRI and all new maps and trains after about ten minutes it crashes. But the original maps and trains work fine. I Must say the new graphics from what i can play with OUTSTANDING!! I like the new stone bridges, and new industries.
I would just like to point some things out that might help you lot. (I am downloading this as we speak, and I only know that this works on vista;]) After 2 or 3 minutes of gameplay save the game, do every few minutes for about an hour. If you are still playing then, close the game, then save erery 5 to 10 minutes. Carry this on untill you get to around every 35 to 45 minutes, then STOP the cycle. You should be able to play the game without the crashes. I will report with more support when I have downloaded it and tried it. everytime i download this from moddb, the zip file is corrupted. now dl'ing from the mirror server and hope it's ok. after that, if it's not right, then i guess i'll just leave it. would have liked to try it tho
this is way too unstable. i'm quite sorry i downloaded this. crashes every 2 or 3 minutes and you have to save every few seconds. I'm sorry i have to uninstall this. i hope the developer will keep working on this and make it better.

I dont know if it has something to do with the mod, but when I play online my trains are all laggy and buggy and screwed up, my fps is through the roof, and it doesnt crash but the trains are just popping out everywhere on the rail, and sometimes they drop something off and then start lagging again.

Install 7-Zip. (You actually need it).
Extract the downloaded zip file.
Then right-click the .exe, and extract with 7-zip. Then you just copy the UserMaps and CustomAssets folders, and paste them into the Sid Meier's Railroads user folder. (C:/Users/<you>/Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Railroads). Windows will automatically marge the folders.
