The story began in an age long past - an age before mankind had spread across the face of the world - an age before we had even learned to speak.

Well, I know that die-hard 7K fans prefer to ignore the third game in the serie but I happened to get it DRM-free on GamersGate recently, and I like it.

Yes, it has little common with 7KAA and 7K2 but it has its charm when you consider it like a separate single game. It has many great ideas and concepts though it fails to complete many of them. This game seems to be thrown away and forgotten by its developers (Enlight and Infinite Interactive, the latter are creators of Warlords Battlecry serie) as soon it had been released, and you cant even find any info about it on Enlight and I2 sites.

Its a real pity, because a couple of patches could make this game shine.

Negative reviews on 7KC often blame the graphics and interface while the gameplay itself is rated as at least not bad and quite promising. Well, as for me, I cant accept complaints about graphics, its maybe not best graphics you could see in late-2000s games but its just good and satisfying.

So its a quite decent real-time fantasy strategy game filled with many interesting and complex features, having a sheer variety of units and tactics, and only suffered from a lack of polishing, lack of documentation, and lack of love from its creators.

Get it on sale and estimate it yourselves. It may surprise you in a good way.

I had high hopes for this game, even during its long vaporware period, but it was a badly-rushed, and the human sides were basically the same as each other. Summary: I'd stay well away for this one, but if you want to play it, don't expect too much.
