As a game designer... I imagine things, and then I and the rest of this team works very hard to make them real to players. I can't emphasize the "team" enough here- I post here, I am our public face, but I could have never done this without a lot of help from a lot of people, and this is about their desire to see a truly excellent game as much as anyone's.
I am a literal kind of guy. I want to see stuff happen exactly as I have planned, even if that means that sometimes, it's months before daydreaming becomes reality. I am detail-oriented- I go to great lengths to try and ensure that every element a player sees feels finished and fits the universe we're building. Pendrokar's video is like looking through somebody else's eyes and seeing the totality of all of this work for the first time. It's so easy, as a designer, to get totally wrapped up in the mundane, boring detail of it all. This is like stepping back from a huge painting... and seeing that it's not that bad, not bad at all.
