Welcome, to another Project Earth news update, Firstly we would like to thank all those who participated in the competition
Fort MacArthur Los Angeles California
We would like to show off some new works that has been done by our level designers, based on actual references from the infamous "Fort MacArthur". Fort MacArthur is a former United States Army installation in San Pedro, Los Angeles, California (now the port community of Los Angeles). The fort is named in honor of Lieutenant General Arthur MacArthur. His son, Douglas MacArthur, would later command American forces in the Pacific during World War II. For more information on Fort MacArthur head on over to the wikipedia and check it out (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_MacArthur)
Fort MacArthur will be seen in our upcoming tech demo which will be released at the start of next year which will show game mechanics, level designing and hopefully some working examples of the ideas which we believe is vital for a game ; vaulting obstacles, intelligent teammates, squad commands just to name a few.
Hostilis one of our level designers has been hard at work modelling Fort MacArthurs Radiator room, this will be a fully playable area. To take a look at how the real thing looks, here is the link to do some comparisons (http://www.nonplused.org/panos/fort_mac/html/04.html) - Please keep in mind these are early WIP.

Stay tuned, as we will be doing a weapons update mid month :)
I just found out abouit this mod and I must say i'm amazed with what I saw!
Things looks really great and I hope you do what Crytek should have done with this amazing engine they gave in people's hands!
PS: The wooden textures on that AKS are simply AMAZING! Great job!
Yah i agree, everything you done looks amazing. Just need to see some in-game shots so far it's all just design work.
The story sounds great, but I just have two questions, where does this game take place, and in what time era? =D
Seriously, I am very excited for this mod. It looks like a lot of planning went into it, and all the concept art and models so far look really professional. I love Crysis 2, and I think I could love this mod even more.
@ Kamikazi,
I've been throwing around a couple in-game shots already in our private forums. I could ask to see if the leads'll give me the go-ahead to put them up here (which I think they will, but it's always good to ask before you do it, it's just proper procedure.)
Thanks for the support, and we hope to have more cool stuff for you next update. :)
you gonna do what everybody does and think up all the cool weapons and models before figuring out how your gameplay mechanics work?
@ Psykogundam - Not really, we have a team atm dedicated to working out how our game mechanics will function, which all the team is suggesting new ideas. :) However we haven't stopped creating cool weapons and models etc. We are also currently waiting for crytek to gives us some information about what their plans are for in terms of the sdk, as there are alot of issues.
Well guys, I kept my promise. You'll find that we added 2 new screenshots of the AK47 in an in-game environment. Hope I didn't promise too much. ;)
The AK looks great!
