This review is for Peter Jackson's King Kong Gamer's Edition. Play in compatibility mode with Windows 7 on the .exe file and force cap your frames per second to 60 via your graphics card, and then cap at 30 on a least a couple of the Kong levels. This game is for those of you who love Far Cry 2 but can't get enough Heart of Darkness; and Far Cry Primal, but can't hunt enough big game. This is a finely crafted linear campaign through Skull Island. It reshades well.

This is my first "serius" review for a game, so don't expect it to much proffesional and I will ignore the fact that this game could not got the time to finish fully.
Peter Jackson King Kong The official game of the movie, a game that proved that licensed games are not always bad, turning out to be probably one of the better ones ever made. Despite this it don't less of defect, but start to talk in general point by point.
Graphics: one of the most good aspects of the game and is that makes signature and gamers edition unique, making both versions very memorable, expecially the signature one, a incredibly good graphics for something made for ps2, the feature that this edition beat on the gamers one is the lighting in general, is so much better the signature than the gamers edition, at my advise depsite the game is 2005, xbox 360 version could have been even better.
Replayability and campaign lenght: I can say that it's pretty much high thanks to the points system, but speaking of campaign lenght, this is where the game lose some of the score, 7/8 hours are not enough for such a game, it was a game that needed 14/15 hours, and there was some ways to don't make all repetitive. The lack of any different difficulty mode also points into that
The city levels are just 2 and short( for the last one makes sense of course).
Some enemies could have been used more, as as so some weapons, some deleted content and more Kong gameplay.
Gameplay: one of the best things of the game, thanks to the IA of the creatures that make them looks real, making immersion level very high. Maybe 1 or 2 more weapons could have made all better, but still, they are enough, another point goes to the mechanics on Jack and Kong.
Jack is very vulnerable to dangers and needs high cautation and patience to don't die, the spears also are a vey good feature. As Kong is very well made, but played not enough times and the levels are too simple, making to much high contrast playing as Jack.
Don't to much diversity on situation but still pretty good, despite something more was possible
Allies AI is pretty effective but sometimes makes has flaws.
Some levels have some notible attention to details, while others not so much
Music:all really good and unique. Making the player feel like is in a movie thanks to it's style, but the tracks are not enough, a lot of music repeats are there, and it's a thing that was higly evitable using also the ones and variants of the beta/demo, if the game used them, it for sure could have been much better to play.
Sounds: very very cool ambience and creatures sounds, the unique problem is the v.rex roars and some other sounds, Some are so much better and cool on the demo than in the final product.
Now It's time for the creatures, one of the most good but at the same time in part bad aspect of the game: There is a lot of variation of them, from insects like giant millepedes know as megapeds, giant bats knowed as terapusmordax and carnivores dinosaurs such as venatosaurus and, V.rex.
But they are used a lot and after some point it start to be repetitive, just maybe another variants should made the, work, and also maybe another types of animals, the use of beta terapusmordax version alongside the other haved some potential to make the game better and not that repetitive use of the final version of them but it got totally scrapped just for example. Anyways models and textures are really well made in both versions.
Now aI fast point version to what is good and bad of the game.
Good points:
Very well made creatures and diversity of types of them.
Movie like music.
As Jack it's all realistic like and feels like a real human.
As Kong good mechanics.
Very good graphics.
Very good sounds.
Very well made IA.
Negative poits:
Gamers editin one can have better graphics.
To short campaign, not enough levels as kong and to short New york section.
To much repetitive music, and they haved the ones they scrapped to be used, easy evitable mistake.
Some times general IA makes some flaws.
Some models on gamers edition are very bad
Too much use of the same enemyes, evitable with scrapped variants aviability.
Score 8 A very good and memorable game that haved the possibilty to be a lot better, and they haved the content to make it better in some aspects.
