For the past few weeks I've been busy replacing various textures with nicer ones. The new textures look good at both iPhone and iPad resolutions.
Then I went through the various screens and laid each one out twice: for iPhone and for iPad, with simple logic to pick the right one. There are a couple of places that still need fixing but on the whole, Pawns screens look better.
(I've found the program Art Text 2 to be invaluable for making new logos, icons, and buttons.)
I am planning to release Pawns for iPhone by the middle of October. There is still much to do, including adding achievements to reward players for solving, say, all the 3-star puzzles, all the knight puzzles, etc.
