Create your own game-types in Orbit with super easy INI modification!
With the latest release of Orbit, you can now create your own custom game modes!
Place the INI file at the location;
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\Orbit
Here's the default parameters that essentially make it the same as the regular Endless Mode in Orbit;
[GlobalParameters]
gameTypeString="OrbitEndless1"
startingEnergy=75.000000
waveIncrementFactor=5.000000
waveLengthRate=20.000000
baseWeight=0.015000
percentBias=0.066667
spawnMinFraction=0.050000
spawnSeconds=7.000000
spawnTime=15.000000
slotsPerRing=3.000000
numRings=4.000000
ringRadius=180.000000
colBackground=589824.000000
colBlend=16777215.000000
[PlanetParameters]
numberOfEBEs=6
ebeType0="factory"
ebeAngle0=90
ebeType1="observatory"
ebeAngle1=32
ebeType2="tidal"
ebeAngle2=310
ebeType3="solar"
ebeAngle3=265
ebeType4="tidal"
ebeAngle4=210
ebeType5="scanner"
ebeAngle5=150
[SpawnerParameters]
speed=1.000000
hp=1.000000
damagePlanet=1.000000
damageSat=1.000000
points=1.000000
scale=1.000000
EBEs have default properties for cost, so you don't need to specify it unless you want to make something cost more or less than the default. You can also modify the "ebeHas#" property to "1" (true) and someone will start the game with that EBE.
Fast, Tiny Aliens with 1 Slot per Ring
For example, here's a crazy game type you can try;
[GlobalParameters]
gameTypeString="OrbitMod"
startingEnergy=50.000000
waveIncrementFactor=5.000000
waveLengthRate=20.000000
baseWeight=0.015000
percentBias=0.066667
spawnMinFraction=0.050000
spawnSeconds=7.000000
spawnTime=15.000000
slotsPerRing=1.000000
numRings=4.000000
ringRadius=500.000000
colBackground=589824.000000
colBlend=16777215.000000

Make sure to change the save file string or delete the save file if you make any changes to the INI! It could result in some weird and possibly fatal errors if you don't.
Share your creations! Push Orbit to its limit and see what you come up with.
