OneSamurai: Dusk is a Turn Based Tactical RPG set in the Kamakura Era of Feudal Japan. Japan for the first time in its History comes under threat from a mysterious outside force. You must defend against this enemy with a backdrop of political struggle and internal strife. OneSamurai: Dusk is the first of three Episodic games which will follow your characters journey through this period. You are able to transfer your story from one game to the next with varying degrees of change depending on the decisions you make.

Niigata is a Fortress town located in the western Chūbu region on the Japanese island of Honshu besides the Sea of Japan. It looks out west towards the island of Sado and to the east mountains. Niigata is the domain of the Uesugi Clan. The Uesugi Clan are one of the stronger clans within the Kamakura Shogunate and also control the town of Mineyama which is found down south. The Uesugi Clan have their main quarrel with the the Honma Clan over the island of Sado. Which the Uesugi Clan claim rightfully belongs to them. The leader of Uesugi Clan is Uesugi Shigefusa, who resides in Niigata alongside his daughter Masauji. Uesugi Shigefusa also has a son known as Uesugi Yoriyukishigeru who serves as the guardian of Mineyama Village in preparation for him becoming the head of the clan in the future. The Uesugi Clan also control the port at Niigata which serves as the main point of travel to the island of Sado. Any traveller looking to travel to Sado must gain favour with the Uesugi Clan through gold or other means before they are allowed to travel there from Niigata.
