Description:

Once is a platformer takes place in a rainy, industrial world. It's about the comeback of a machine called Edge and its escape from the factory.

Story:
Edge is an ordinary machine in a factory with its perception restricted to work in its routine by control units and fields that cover entire factory. All these machines has limited internal energy that consumed day by day. The game begins with the day when Edge abandoned to exhaust in a cell which is apart from the factory and the control fields.

Development:
It's developed by Burak Kurkcu for over a year and the game is now in pre-alpha stage with a playable demo. I hope to release a public demo and more content soon. Any feedbacks or comments are appreciated and can be sent through twitter, mail or what else you prefer.

Character & Game Mechanics:
You control a machine, called Edge that consists of two octogonal parts that are bonded with an energy line. You can swap energy between parts. The part with energy (green part) gets heavier and controls the other/empty part (grey part) within circular range of bond, in other words you control one part at a time while the other part gets heavier and stays on the ground. You have nothing to kill/destroy but you have plenty things like traps, gaps, motion sensors to avoid or hide from.

You can see main mechanic and character in action at the video below. (Please turn HD to on for best quality).

Gameplay Elements:
Introduced plenty of gameplay elements; objects, lightnings, secret places, checkpoints, teleports here: Indiedb.com

Love that Aztec-style pixel art.
Reminds me very much of the Nitrome game, Knuckleheads.
Keep it up and great job.

Thank you! I haven't seen Knuckleheads before. I've shocked that it seems like both games based on similar mechanic but as I play I've seen that both games have distinctive gameplay and game design with ability to switch manually between parts.
