Nebula Frontiers is a mash-up space trader / combat MMO, inspired by gameplay from Frontier: Elite 2, Thrust and World of Warcraft. The main goal of the game will be to survive in a hostile area of space, working with and competing against other players for limited resources. Players can trade materials, manufacture complex items, build space stations and communities, form alliances or engage in warfare. The concepts of an (effectively) infinite procedurally generated universe, trading and missions is straight out of Frontier: Elite 2. Although, on the surface, it will look like a top-down shooter, the combat system will be more like that of WoW, where skill and strategy are more important than reflexes. Attacks and abilities need to be used wisely and players will eventually be able customize their ships for their style of play. The ships will control much like those in Thrust (and its many clones) with rotation, thrust and inertia.
