Hey guys. It has been a while since the last update but we think it was worth it. We've been hard at work since we released the last demo and the team have added a whole bunch of new features and tweaks.
Here’s a taste of what you can expect in the full release:
- Better Platforming. After we released the last demo we received a lot of feedback about the way you controlled Mr Utility so we decided to switch to a control scheme similar to that of Spyro The Dragon and adopt the Xbox 360 controller as our main input device. All UI and levels have been redesigned to be more controller friendly and now you can get that smooth 360 degree movement.
- New Loadout System. In the past Mr Utility could only carry three weapons at a time and you had to choose what weapon you took with you before entering the level. If you got to a point in the level and realised you didn’t have the weapon you needed to advance you would have to restart and choose a better loadout.
Now, with our new inventory system, you can switch items on the go. This helps us be way more creative with our levels and design them to be less linear and simple.
On a different note we now have two new 3d artists and are looking for another programmer.
