Version 3.9.0 of MegaGlest, a free real-time strategy game for Linux, Windows and OS X, has been released today. While its graphics do not come close to what current commercial titles can offer, the gameplay of this fantasy themed title can bring great joy to you and your friends online, at LAN games, or during single player scenarios. It can work fine on older hardware, too.
MegaGlest is also a game engine, powering additional titles such as Annex - Conqier the World. Modding it is as easy as editing some XML files, writing some Lua code for scenarios, recording OGG audio, and, if you prefer to use your own art, modeling/animating in Blender.
Here's the list of new features (snce the previous 3.7.1 release):
MegaGlest is a fully free game, that is free as in beer, source code availability, asset availability, licensing terms.
