Hi, everyone! Today I uploaded some screenshots and I'd like to talk a little bit about them and how the game is looking now. Here are some improvements since we posted our last video.
- We updated the character textures, now they are more clear and brighter. We got rid of the hand-painted style we were trying to achieve, especially after we started using cel-shading.
- We now have normal orcs in the game, and they can defend!
- Monster K-Ken is implemented and working well. He beats really hard, and has wings! What they are for, we'll have to find out.
- We made levels, a map, a title screen, etc. Everything that wraps the battle system.
- Several bugs were fixed, some more yet to be.
Next in line: we're going to work on these ugly wall/ground textures.
We're now much closer to a finished product than last week -- but we'd like to keep improving the game, with your help, even after the first release. We're quite happy to where we got in these 4 months, with a small team, very very limited budget, and we're very eager to share our achievements with you soon.
For now, stay with some screencaps, and thank you for checking out Light Apprentice: The Game!
I so want to play it...I am hoping it wont be a Retail game, but if it is I will buy it eventually...
Things might change, but our plan for now is to release as paid digital download. But it's very good to know what you think - thank you for your comment!
Cant wait to try this one! Love the artstyle.
Thank you ;) If things go as planned, you'll be able to play it soon.
Awesome, all the best getting it to the point of release!
