Description

This and the image before it are both by by our concept and 2d artist David Smith that he did for our level intro and outro cut scenes. Killing, My Friend is the name of a fictional series of movies that the players are the stars of. The gameplay takes place on set during the filming. So to help convey the theme of the game and tell the story of the ‘scene’ that the players are about to ‘shoot’ our Director (who’s both a character and sometimes villian and the AI director for the game,) lays out the scene over a storyboard animatic. He describes the action leading up to the gameplay and after it completes with the escape or getaway.

That’s right, this image will eventually be an in game image that we’ll use for the level cut scenes similar to an animated comic or animatic.

That’s it for now. I’ll be adding more backstory to the game’s development, sharing news, screenshots and movies, and upcoming events and features. I’ll be updating this regularly so check back often!
