A free-roaming squad based RPG. Focusing on open-ended gameplay features rather than a linear story. Be a trader, a thief, a rebel, a mercenary, a business owner, a doctor, a bandit... the list goes on. Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh desert. Purchase and upgrade your own buildings to use as safe fortified havens when things go bad, or use them to start up a business. Train your men up from puny victims to master warriors. Carry your wounded squad mates to safety and get them all home alive.

own it on steam, have been fascinated by the scope of the project. a literal single-player sandbox, set in a desolate world reminiscent of the "desert punk" manga and anime. kenshi drops the player into this wasteland, full of bandits, competing factions and rather impressive game-systems (even at this stage, trading, manufacturing, building outposts, defenses and gangs / mini armies and towns are all possible for the player to play with and build with).

kenshi surprises by doing a better job than most sandbox games do of perpetuating the illusion that you are but a fragment in a world full of moving parts - it is up to the player to decide how and when the gameworld will "take notice" of their character. this is not a "chosen one" theme park, there is no hero delusion to fall sway under when one plays kenshi. you start out as nothing. if you don't pay attention you will end up as more of the same.

the game will not have noticed your passing at all.

(truly beautiful work. i look forward to every update! thank you for putting the time and effort into this project. thank you.)
