Hello world,

here we are taking our first steps on indieDB. As four passionated students from Trier, Germany (yes we are schnitzels), we focus on creating indie games and web apps.

Currently we are working on the game In Between, a story driven puzzle platformer. Check out our first playable demo! Any feedback is much appreciated!

~~ Long Story ~~
The sensitive topic of death is frequently used in games but mostly on a superficial level. Following the five stages of grief (by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross), the game puts the player into different emotional states of a dying mind by combining interactive narration and compelling gameplay. In Between is a near-death experience closer than ever in games before.

In Between is our attempt to integrate a sensitive topic often overlooked by mainstream games offering not only a good story but also a great experience. The game originated from the bachelor thesis of team member Daniel Denne and was later picked as our first game to become distributable.

As we presented our first prototype to the public we received a lot of positive feedback and realized that we are walking on breeding ground. We now want our fosterling to grow into a finished game until winter 2013. The first prototype, formerly based on Adobe Flash, was converted to Unity for better performance and distributing capabilities.
