FLASH FIRE is a new generation realistic Zombie survival game, this new generation game crosses over the boundaries between story driven games and multiplayer games. There is a focus on realistic game play and team game-play in an open world environment. The game is currently advancing quickly from an early stage. There is a two person team working on the game but is likely to grow as the game advances.

Due to school and various other reasons Flash Fire has been forced to have a break of several months, however now that these have finished more updates on story line, concept art and other additions to the game will be released.

Our team has begun to put together some concept art for both characters and enemies in the game, also the game has moved towards a simpler game mode, this involves less customization of characters but more open game play with a more involving story line in an open world environment.

This is an example of some of the possible enemy types which could be present in the game, the zombies in the game will have a slow movement speed but will however be very aware of the environment and such it will be easy to attract many zombies and even though these will be easy to kill there will be a swarm factor which often will have the effect of overwhelming the player.

Also ideas for the environment are being tossed around with possible ideas including a snowy environment, urban, tropical/rain forest and mixed. These each working around certain game play types with enemies being hard to see in the forest or random unexpected rainfall or in a snowy environment blizzards.

not sure, soon-ish, I'm planning on implementing an AI system and then creating a test scene, then putting a playable alpha online, to hopefully gage an interest in the final product.

Interesting, if the game will go this way, it will surely stand out among the many zombie-related games. About the "swarm" thing, does that mean that zombies will keep respawning whenever the player has cleared that area and moved on?

depends, zombies will spawn in wilderness areas or areas where players have set up a camp or such, this means it is possible to create effective safe zones while z's spawn in a realistic manner, city will have a larger spawn count but unlike dayz zombies wont spawn relative to the amount of players on a server and rather they will spawn relative to the area.

That will be a challenge to players, about the player's defensive capability, can they deal with them easily (Think of the common infecteds from Left 4 Dead)? And will there be those "super zombies" like in Left 4 Dead or Dead Island? Or will it be just like a more realistic Dead Rising?

Im thinking since the zombies them selves should be easy to deal with, since they could move slow and have little protection however if you get swarmed that causes a problem. But im not thinking of adding an special zombies as I want a realistic feel the game, possible mutations could be included which could involve infected animals or similar.

Sounds good to me, but does that mean there will be hunting too? And that you'll have to differentiate infected animals from non-infected animals?
