Excalibur breaks the mould of traditional space simulation games by putting the player firmly in the boots of an experienced Starfleet captain. From the outset you will be able to control your character and command your ship as if you were standing on the bridge yourself. From taking direct control of the helm, to transferring command of any ship in your task force, or even calling your senior staff to the briefing room to discuss mission tactics; Excalibur is the most immersive Star Trek experience ever. Set six months after the events in Star Trek: Nemesis, Excalibur's story mode deals with the turbulent political scene caused by a decade of war and turmoil. From the second Borg incursion in First Contact, to the fall of the Dominion and the collapse of the Romulan political system; these events resulted in huge loss of life and changed the Alpha Quadrant forever.

I think one of the most important questions you can discuss is what you need to accomplish prior to being confident enough to announce a release schedule to the public ;)

Hello!
Im a big fan of your project but I do have a few questions,

a) Will there be multiplayer? This would be a great feature as my friends and I really like cooperative games (and versus).

b) Will any other races be playable?

c) What are some of the things you can do in first person mode? Will there be missions based on that similar to Star Trek Online (I personally don't mind on this one, I'm just curious to find out)

d) Will you support mods at some point? (mods are always good =) )

e) Will there be a public alpha/beta test for all of your loyal ModDB supporters?

f) Do you plan to continue adding to the game after release?

I hope your meeting goes well.

Thanks. =)

Great stuff. Here my few questions:

1-What kind of logistics or micro-management will be in the game.
Some people, me included, like those kinda things.

2-Will something like Galaxy-Charts be included, to keep the payer entertained outside of Single-Player/Campaign game?

3- Will there be prolonged ship versus ship engagements? Or rather short sorties.

4- Can you tell us in '%' how far the game has come?

cheers

1.) a good STORY-BASED single player campaign is the focus? Just like Bridge Commander?

2.) do you even have character customisation? or are *YOU* a faceless, nameless, voiceless captain (which would be totally okay)

3.) is there a Bridge? Can you interact with that Bridge? Are there different officers?

For the controlling the Captain part mentioned in the overall summary, how will the Infantry combat play out? Will it be a third person view or a First person Shooter?

Will you be implementing Mutliplayer as well as will you be trying to get that out earlier release then later?

Other then that I'm looking forward to more updates!

There just a few questions I can think of which are kind of a combination of the already mentioned ones plus a few extra

1.) Is there plans on character customisation, face, voice and name

2.) Is there any more info on the ability to walk around the ship

3.) Most likely already been answered but is it possible to battle other ships completely in the bridge view

4.) Not really bothered if this is included just curious, any plans for away mission either in the main release or as extra content afterwards

5.) What kind of interaction is available with the officers on the bridge and with the crew in general

6.) How much micro-management will be available, I enjoyed playing around with the power in ST:BC :D, is there going to be a lot of customization/adjustments to the ship that can be made in game e.g. power etc.

7.) Is there any feature planned involving enemy ship transporting soldiers to your ship, so your security team have to defend the ship, causing sabotage etc. Could be a cool sort of mini-game where you become one of the security team and have to clear the ship though maybe I want to much :) an awesome Star Trek space combat sim. is more than enough.

1)Are you receiving support from any official star trek franchise sources? Anything from assistance from screenwriters etc to help shape your universe to possible advertisement of your game on startrek.com, will you be seeking such assistance in the future?

2)How did the team first start up? Its a pretty amazing confluence of skills and artistry.

Keep on trekkin' lads, your work is incredible.

1.) will there be multiplayer.
2.) is it RTS in fashion? like massive fleets or just the one ship?
3.) will it stick to the canon of the original storyline? or will it be no story at all?

that is all my questions.
really liking this game :D

Just one questions from me

1) How big of an effect will gravity have, so will planets orbit stars through the physics engine, and the same with stars orbiting around the galaxy?. As well as different amounts of gravity on different planets?
