Emperor: Battle for Dune represents the seamless combination of cutting-edge 3D graphics and perfected real-time strategy gameplay. In your conquest for the Imperial Throne in the gripping universe of Dune, choose from three unique sides and five powerful subgroups to plot a perilous course through up to five treacherous game worlds. In both single-player and multiplayer modes, lead your forces in both large-scale planetary strategies and cunning ground-level tactics. Westwood says it has more realistic AI, in that when you start out, the computer knows nothing about land it cannot see, which is a nice change.

The graphic details are extremely good. The story line is quite different from your usual Scifi-stories. With the introduction of the subgroups (Fremen, Sadukar, Ix, Tilaxu & Gild), the choice of who to ally with becomes a stimulating challenge.

The game is based more on conventional warfare, rather than atomic or nuclear. This is what make a strategic RTS game more interesting and challenging. You get to enjoy and appreciate each individual unit, understand the characters more in-dept and create a kind of a personal bond with the faction of your interest.

The 3 Houses are very evenly balanced. Its not easy to say in this game that one faction's technology is better than the other. Each has something very unique. Each requires a different skill set to be used. Weather your playing the "Missions or Skirmish mode.

So for my reason to give this game 10/10 is very simple. Just like Roma Atani of the Ordos Faction says "Failure is not an option". To all RTS lovers out there, I have one thing to say if you play Emperor Battle for Dune. While playing the game "Be Strong and Be Wise"..... Oh! and above all, try your best not to fail...OK! ;->
