I feel that I could just copy&paste my comment from Always Remember Me here. These 2 games are really similar, in a way that they both keep to clicking away at stats, and with occasional story fragments.

But the game is really good. Great artwork, awesome music, I can't put my head around the writing though, but that's ok. I'm not the most socially aware person around, so failing at VNs is normal for me ;-).

Anyway - this game deserves much better that the average rating of 5 shown here. Haters gonna hate ;-P. I'm giving it a 10.

I know. But I feel that nothing can truly compare with an authentic japanese visual novel, or those that take a long amount of time to be made. Take Katawa Shoujo as an example. The development took ALOT of time with the game and part of that allowed them to do research so they could make it feel as close to authentic as possible. I just cant help but feel all these other visual novels have a different feeling to them. It doesnt make them bad by any means, just very different.

I'm sorry if it's not as good as commercial Japanese company game, if it's what you meant by authentic. We're working as indie, with small budget and small number of people, and we're sorry if we can't satisfy you enough.この作品は同人作品であり、商業ではありません。 限られた予算という壁もあり、商業作品のようなレベルには至りません。どうかご了承ください。

At last, visual novels seem to get the place in gaming they deserve. :D

English:
I have played the demo and give me the feel of a good made production. (Sorry for my poor english).

Italiano:

Dalla demo mi sembra un prodotto fatto con passione . Il prezzo non dovrebbe essere un problema se vi piace questo tipo di produzioni.

Ever since Katawa Shoujo came out alot of people have started using it's engine to produce their own games. The thing is, Katawa Shoujo is free while all this stuff costs an ***-ton of money.

***-ton of money? You kidding me? Read a real visual novel like CLANNAD, then you would know that most visual novels cost ¥4500 - ¥7000.

The game has been released at July 2011 at Japanese site, before Katawa Shoujo full version released. We got some problem with the translation, and it's finished a bit late in March this year.

What's with all these graphic novels? I understand what the "game" is, but $20? Why are there so many of these popping up?

They're not 'poping up' - they are out there already. It's just their devs that are discovering Desura and that's great IMHO :-). The prices are currently steep though, but I expect with more VNs showing up on Desura the prices will have to go lower.
