We have released the 1.024 patch for Drox Operative. Since the last official patch, the patch adds Drox Guild quests (IotA), adds new race services: order planetary goods (Hive), call for recruits (Drakk), retraining (Cortex), buy bombs (Brunt), enhance components (Utopian), and spying (Shadow), balances the races to be more unique, and fixes a bunch of other minor issues.

We have released the 1.024 patch for Drox Operative. 1.024

  • fixed Utopian enhanced sockets not working until save/resume (CaptainWinky) (IotA)
  • ceasefire now clears enemies and projectiles better (wrestless)
  • now normal happiness drop of crew is half as much as normal if the same race as you
  • Shadow's spy trait now affects espionage and sabotage
  • now Shadow has a resistance to being spied on
  • increased start alliance time by 25% (IotA)
  • increased Drox Guild quest xp rewards by 50% (IotA)
  • increased Drox Guild quest credits rewards by 100% (IotA)
  • increased ancient quest chances by another 50% (IotA)

  • now get warning if try to reduce power load on something that uses none
  • no longer use credits if can't reduce power load because uses none or already reduced as much as possible (Yindo)
  • no longer show race specific crew slot in no life mode (Tuidjy) (IotA)
  • increased asteroid chances by 50%
  • no longer have Drox bonus orders if playing with Drox involvement higher than minimal (IotA)
  • grey goo can no longer affect stars (Tyrax Lightning)
  • fixed escape pod highlight text overlapping (Tyrax Lightning)
  • fighter comparison works properly again (Tyrax Lightning)
  • marine crew modifier now has value (LordGek) (IotA)
  • changed PROTOCOL_VERSION to 25
  • now show race in scout quest title (wrestless)

1.023

  • can now order planetary goods from Hive planets
  • can now call for recruits on Drakk planets (costly and still have to do a recruit quest though)
  • can now retrain your crew points at Cortex planets
  • can now buy bomb type of quests from the brunt (player gets to choose the victim race)
  • you can now pay Utopian planets to try to enhance your components with added sockets (IotA)
  • can now pay Shadow to do your spying for you (expensive, they are better at spying, they will get mad at you if they are caught)
  • increased Economist trait bonuses - starting credits 2.0 to 3.0, trading 1.5 to 2.0, and credits produced 1.5 to 2.0 - Human
  • colony ships now only cost expansion races 25% of normal cost - Human and Lithosoid
  • increased Dryad gift chances from 35/50 to 25/60
  • decreased Dryad RepairCostMult from 0.5 to 0.33
  • increased minerals produced by Industrial races from 2.0 to 3.0 - Utopian
  • increased Utopian ClearLevel quest chances from 0.025 to 0.05
  • increased Fringe chances to start attack quests from 0.001 to 0.003
  • increased Fringe propaganda and sabotage chances from 7.0 to 10.0

  • fixed some issues in Challenge 9

  • will no longer get alliance quest if already in alliance with that race (wrestless) (IotA)
  • will no longer get start war quest if races are already in war with each other (IotA)
  • will no longer get build alliance quest if races are already in an alliance with each other (IotA)
  • halved time allowed for getting all gate activations (IotA)
  • now get rewards for prevent win type quests when win sector (IotA)
  • disappearFromEnemies now clears attackers list
  • now when adding attackers make sure only added once to attacker list
  • now remove all projectiles between warring races when they declare peace
  • now destroy planet or planet's station quests will fail if races stop their war (Tuidjy)
  • now destroy planet's station fails if planet is destroyed (IotA)
  • no longer give quest to destroy more ships or starbases that a race has currently
  • made some fail paths of Quest::questEntityKilled safer
  • rebalanced raiders (18% weaker), drones (25% stronger), and bombers (50% stronger)
  • moved bomber bonus from health to damage like it should be to compensate slower shots
  • decreased most Drox Guild quest times by 33% (IotA)
  • fixed a problem with 3rd part of resurrect quest (IotA)
  • cross race colonizations can no longer pick gas giants (IotA)
  • now make sure no buffer is bound to a streaming sound source (not sure it will fix anything, but a little cleaner)
  • no longer show Drox Guild quest timers twice on main screen (IotA)
