Descension is an action/adventure game with an emphasis on puzzles and story but without forgetting the action. As the only person capable of stopping a planet wide catastrophe, you will explore the darker side of humanity as well as make difficult choices with unknown consequences. With a mystery to unravel, a new world to discover and understand, and possibly all life at stake it will take wit and intelligence, strength and power, stealth and cunning, or some of it all to make it through alive.

Here we talk about more game design philosophy. This time were talking about the concept of there being no game over in our game.

In addition to changes made to the typical idea of saves and loads, there are also plans in the works to make the typical death/reload scenario irrelevant altogether by integrating that into the gameplay, in short rather than breaking the players immersion with a load screen and menu, the death of the character will be resolved through story and gameplay, but in such a manner as that is plausible and conceivable and integrated into the story so as not to break the immersion of the player through far-fetched or arbitrary dues ex style manipulations.
