Depth is a PvP multiplayer game which blends heart pounding tension and visceral action in a dark aquatic world. Playing as either a diver, or a shark, eliminate your enemies using a combination of stealth, cunning, and teamwork.

barracudas attack? So is it basically an AI that eats divers without the sharks having to do anything?
yep. Barracudas function like 'alarms' in our game. If they spot a diver they will swarm him and cause him to bleed briefly. The blood leaking from the diver shows up on shark radar like a 3D 'ping' which indicates the general direction the bleeding diver is in. You can see it in the screenshot above (the red circles).
Sharks can re-position barracudas too, if they want to add / subtract defenses in a particular area.
Worth noting - On their own they don't really do much damage, but in concentrated groups they can actually rip a diver to shreds pretty darn quickly :)
I like the idea but i agree with Kevlar, Desorientating the diver is the best way to take this idea, Maybe throw in some special debuffs like decreased speed ect.
As others have said disorienting the diver would be best. Don't like it this way :/..
Another question I have here is can you explain the minimap thing in the lower left? I can understand the green allies and the red enemies but what are the big green circles around the green ones? Also will the minimap tell whether a target is above or below you?
The faint green circles represent the vision radius of the barracudas. They tend to stack up when you've got alot of barracudas close together, it's something we're gonna be tweaking :)
If a target is above / below you its opacity is reduced. We're probably also gonna add something like an up / down arrow next to the icon as well for added clarity.
