Defense of the Tanks (still in Pre-alpha) is a Tactical Action Role-Playing Multiplayer Shooter Defense Game, associated with the MOBA genre. The game is inspired by Warzone 2100, and DOTA combined with LOL, with a splice of first person shooter and level-up (RPG) game. It offers fully customizable tank (Wheels, Body, Weapon, Ammo), destructible structures/buildings, collide-able objects, leveling-skills system, item purchase, and ranking system (i.e 5Stars, Lieutenant, Sergeant). It also offers Role-Playing Maps such as Boss hunts or Bounty Hunts, Racing Game, Soccer Game, and the like. Players could upload images of their own weapons, wheels, etc. And it will be integrated to the game itself. Therefore they could really customize their tank to such an extent. Everything (except SDL and OpenGL libraries, and BGM and SFX) was developed by myself from scratch in C++ language, including the images, the animations, visual effects, and the game engine itself.

This is pretty cool looking. Any chance the map can get larger and or have more terrain types, elevation, cliffs, etc?

Thank you for the feedback! :) Yes, I have yet to decide the final size of the map because there' still a lot of work that needs to be done in the actual game engine, but yes the map would be bigger (but still keeping similar aspects of the DOTA map). However, for some mini-games/rpg maps, it would depend. The map is still in its early stage. But, it'd soon look more awesome. haha! :) However, for the 'elevation', I believe it is hard to be implemented in the way I programmed my engine. But for cliffs, rivers, blocked terrain, bridges, and the like. Expect them to come soon! ^_^ haha!

Also a few other suggestions if I may?
-Ability to move the minimap, since it can get in the way of combat, and/or maybe make it semi transparent.
-More unit types? is Air units possible,little mechs/ infantry to drive over?

Oh yes! Thanks! I'll make the minimap semi-transparent when the mouse cursor is hovered on it. Yes more unit types in the future! I planned of a helicopter dropping ammo supplies at certain spots. And there will be selected military planes as support, depending on the skills chosen by the commander(player). But, I'm keeping certain elements from DOTA or LOL that's why the main map is a 'defense' type of game. Yes, infantry coming soon! :D

I apologize for the slow development of this game as I am still busy in my school work with my thesis ongoing. And, I'm the only one working on this game. But... please still expect a lot more soon and watch it! :) Thanks!
