Moves the battle away from the common Western Front focus of World War II and refocuses on some of history’s most brutal and devastating conflicts on the Eastern Front, challenging players to take command of the iconic Red Army and repel the Nazi invaders from the very gates of Moscow.

Despite the initial problems, Company of Heroes 2 remains a solid sequel to an excellent game. While the new ColdTech system is annoying IMHO, everything else is well done (the new "jump over low walls" to lessen the impact of early barbed wire-trapping, abandoned vehicles allow Soviet players to joyride in Tiger Tanks, TrueSight which makes ambushes more rewarding, etc.)

Some of you may be appalled by the plotline of the campaign, but remember that what the Stalin-ruled Soviets did in WW2 were just as bad as the Germans they were fighting, if not worse.

Yes, I know there are some ludicrously-priced day-1 DLC, but those are completely optional (The DLC commanders aren't that different from the ones on the full game) and the skins are purely cosmetic, and no one is forcing you to buy it.

Multiplayer is currently Peer-to-peer Automatch only for the time being, but rest assured that they will make some new additions in the future (not just skins).
