The first time that I played this game was when I was 4... it was in China, on a pirated copy which is on a computer that was meant for a architecture firm (which means that it is at least 4 times as powerful as any computer for public sale)... Yep, the game is so popular in China that in the firm they installed the game on every computer. At any day of the week, one can see at least 8 people playing on the lan. RA1 was one of the few games back then that allow unlimit army size.
Oh, and the pirated copy was still in English... of course that did not stop anyone from playing.
