Heya, I'm Nightymare, but you can call me Nightmare. Currently I am your biggest fan to date, I can't wait for the alpha version. Anyways, heres a little list of questions I have. :)

1. Just how advanced will the construction system/base building system be? Will you have to gather wood and such to create walls, fire and so on, or will you have to find a place in the environment and make it your home without building on it at all?

2. I love your idea of removing the crafting system, just want to ask if you can put a number on how many things you will be able to find in the environment that you can use to customize your base? Sometimes the developers promise a system like this, and end up only putting 5-6 things in the game that you can actually use, because of laziness.

3. Your saying that they won't be any fighting in the game? Can you explain why, is the person your controlling the last person/animal on earth because of some meteor strike?

4. Will you be able to somehow spot if the food you have found is poisoned or bad, or will you have to try your way forward by eating them?

5. Know it might be too early to ask this, but have you set a date for the release of early alpha, or figured out the approximately minimum requirements?

With all that said, I can not wait to test out your game, explore, build, find bugs and suggest new features. You will be seeing a lot to me in the future, be sure of that. Good luck. :)

Hi! We're glad you like Boundless :)

1) We're not sure. Right now we're still discussing how we've going to develop our building system, so I can't provide a good answer here yet.

2) The things you find in your travels won't only be stuff you use in your house. The progression system will be based on the artifacts you find when you explore, so naturally we want as many rare items as possible. The best part about Boundless is that we don't have any budget or production constraints, as we're developing this game on our spare time. This means that we won't ever have to cut tons of items from the game, or release the game with some features or item types half-done. I can't put an exact number on how many artifacts there will be in the game, but we'll probably start with a low number in the first playable versions of the game and then constantly increase them up until the game's official launch.

3) There will definately be fighting in Boundless. However, we want the progression system to be based more on exploration and discovery than killing mobs. Hostile creatures will be more of an obstacle that will take lots of preparation to defeat than walking nodes of xp and loot. I'm going to write an article about the combat system in the near future :)

4) You'll have to taste the food to see if it's good or bad. If you're lucky, you might find an item that can taste stuff for you a couple of times, before it dies/dissapears

5) Since this is a spare time project, we haven't set any deadlines for anything. We will simply keep developing the game until we feel it's fun enough to release a playable version to the public.

Thanks for the support!
