About
boscaí was originally made as a generic voxel/block game engine. The purpose of the project was to learn about procedural generation and to practice C#. Now that the project has reached the point where it is playable, it is being released as a free block building game.
In it's current state, it is very basic, it does not have a survival mode, mobs, day/night cycle or even a lighting engine. It is simply a game where you can build things from blocks on a procedurally generated terrain. However features will be added on a regular basis and the developer is open to suggestions. There are quite a lot of performance options so you should be able to run the game on most half decent PCs.
System Requirements
Currently the game is windows only, it has been tested on windows 7 and community members have run it sucessfully on windows 8. You should need at least the .Net framework 4.0 to run this although you probably already have that. If you have any issues running the game or find any bugs please post them here or in the game's subreddit at Reddit.com . There are no known crash bugs right now however a small number of users have reported mouse input not working in the menus on windows 8 (should be fixed in RC4).
Random Facts
-The terrain is pretty much infinite in all directions (including up and down) as it is made up of cubic chunks.
-Save files tend to be very small as only the chunks that have been modifed by the player are actually saved (this is configurable).
-The full game download is under 1MB
-The word 'boscaí' means 'boxes' in Irish.
