Bombsweeper is coming along great! Most of the bugs have been worked out. A list of the known bugs are as follows:
-The edge of the rock could be clicked and the bomb would not detonate
-On some levels, the lives would be set back to 3 or would be set to -1
-The game would freeze on the transition from the menu to Level 1
To fix these bugs, we focused on them directly. We made the bombs bigger so that they can detonate if the rock is clicked on the edges.
We then discovered that some levels had been missing the object that saves the lives relative to the player. So to fix that, we went through every level and made sure that they had that object.
We have now integrated a main menu where you can choose to either play the game, load a saved game, learn how to play, or quit the game. The game now only stalls when Level 1 is loading, which is shown by a loading bar at the bottom.
A newly created asset has been added to the game. The Power-Blast is similar to the 1-up, except you gain 5 lives from it as well as 200 points. Another new asset is the treasure chest. It contains either 2 lives, 100 points, or both. There are one of each in every level.
Now on to DLC, there will be DLC released for Bombsweeper about a week after it comes out. The DLC will contain 10 new levels to the game. Keep in mind that this DLC package will require the full version of Bombsweeper to run. The 10 new levels will contain new jewels and new explosives such as dynamite and grenades. Another new feature will be the detonator, which allows the player to remove 5 bombs in the level. Finally, potions will be added. The potions will give you 1/2 of a life, depending on the color of the potion.
