The goal of this game is to collect all the jewels. Dangerous bombs try to blow you up so you should avoid them. The 1-UPs will help you. When you collect one of those, you gain 1 life and a few extra points. Also sometimes a bonus jewel appears. Get the highest score and don't be bombed.

Bombsweeper Demo v 0.11 has been released, some bug support, publishing news, and multiplayer...

Posted by on

The newest version of the Bombsweeper demo has been released. The new version contains 8 new levels and some new features. We have added the 1-Up feature to the game as well. The 1-Up is an item you can find hidden randomly under a rock and it will give you an extra life. There are two(2) 1-Ups per level. Go to the downloads page to download the latest version!

We have received a few e-mails about bugs when downloading the game. I want everyone to know the following:
-This game is for Windows only. So it will not run on Linux or Mac. There will be versions released for those platforms though later on.
-The demo does not represent the final version. There is still much more to add.
-The full game and the demo will be released on either Desura or Steam if we hear back from the two.

Speaking of Desura and Steam, Redkix Games has not heard back from either one. Desura's response was expected last night as their usual response time is 48 hours. In which Bombsweeper was submitted on Monday. With Steam, we expect their response sometime next week or so. Since Steam probably gets over 200 games sent in everyday, they are behind and will be getting to our game sometime later.

And finally the multiplayer, we learned today that Redkix Games needs the Standard version of GameMaker to implement a multiplayer into Bombsweeper. And since Redkix Games uses Lite, we cannot do that. However, we will be purchasing the Standard version within the next week. So that gives the multiplayer some hope on whether it gets created.

Thanks for your time! We hope to see you guys again on the next update. Until then, carry on!
