Blockscape 0.9.4580.18049 - Forum preview

(You need a free Blockscape.com account to play the demo version.)

Blockscape is a sandbox-game, inspired by Minecraft, where you can explore large worlds, with mountains, caves, rivers, trees and much more. At the moment the worlds aren't computer generated, but later an update will add this feature. The size of every block is changeable, so you can build everything you want. Even things like furniture like chairs are possible.
You can also start a server and play with your friends (up to 256 players).

Phase 1 of Blockscape is available for 9,90 € (~12,15 U.S. dollars). You need a PayPal account to buy. Maybe in the future, you can also buy Blockscape with a PaySafeCard. If you bought Phase 1, you'll get Phase 2 and Phase 3 for free.

Install a Blockscape texture pack

Other Tutorial

German Version/Deutsche Version

With a Texture Pack, you can change the blockscape textures. At the moment, you can't chose the textures ingame, you have to copy the files to the correct folder.

  1. Go to the folder, where you installed Blockscape (e. g. C:\Program Files\Blockscape).
  2. Make a back of "decals.png", "sky_base.png" and "stone2.png"
  3. Copy the files from the texture packs and overwrite the existing files.
  4. Press [WINDOWS+R] and type
    %appdata%/Blockscape
  5. Delete all the "main_X.bin", "sky_X.bin" and "decals_X.bin" (1 to 4096), these are just cache-files).
  6. Have fun with the new textures.

A nice texture pack

This looks a lot like Minecraft, but I do see the differences...
But 256 Players? Wouldn't that be hell on a PC?

Not really, theres plenty of games that offer that plus more already. For Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, you can have 500 people on one server with the SAMP multiplayer mod. The game Mag for PS3 has 256 players as well, and its on ps3, so obviously a pc can handle it.
