Blackshift is a grid-based, space-themed action puzzle game which isn't afraid of complexity — think Chip's Challenge on crack.

Stealing ideas abundantly from the golden age of PC puzzle games, Blackshift has over 50 object types which combine in countless ways to create mysterious and exciting puzzles.

Blackshift will ship with a tightly integrated level editor, and a subscription to the Level Pit, where players can share their own levels.

In developing Blackshift the focus has been on making a rock-solid engine that just feels good. This is what games like Pacman got so right — every detail down to the frame-by-frame timing of how your character moves and turns corners was tuned to perfection, giving that simple game endless replay value. Blackshift is doing that too (but without the simplicity).

Blackshift aims to be a game where nothing is half-baked. I'm developing it on my own time and my own dime, and I'm not about to cut cool shit to accommodate harsh market realities. It is now available for Early Access. Have you got what it takes to be an UNPAID GAME TESTER?
