Hardcore Old school sidescroller in the vain of Castlevania or Valis: the phantom soldier. It was made by me in 48 hours as part of the Ludum Dare 29 challenge. Now I want to make a game out of this concept game, a proper sidescroller with good 2D art, if you are interested and you are a 2D artist please contact me.

After the great time I had at the Ludum dare compo and the great reviews I decided this game deserves a chance to shine so I will try to make a proper game out of this, so Im looking for a 2D artist who is good with animations and shares a passion for old school games like me.

After the great time I had at the Ludum dare compo and the great reviews the game had, I decided this game deserves a chance to shine so I will try to make a proper game out of this, so I'm looking for a 2D artist who is good with animations and shares a passion for old school games like me.

I'm looking for a look sort of like Dracula X:Rondo of blood/Symphony of the night or a similar (Dark and anime-ish)

In other news...You can download the game from the download section but you can also play online on the following link PLAY THE GAME, also If you where at the ludum dare you can review the game HERE

There is also some videos in my youtube channel where you can sort see the evolution of the game during the 48 hours the compo lasted:

Here they are in order.

The Ludum dare 29 was a blast, it wasn't as stressful as I thought it would be, it was a challenge yes, a mental challenge that is, delivering a game in 48 hours is much like running a marathon , you need to stay focus and don't sprint, if you do you will end up burnt and quit the race... you need to keep running at a constant pace; but I had a great time talking with many indie developers from all over the world, I even met a ground of indie developers from my area!. I will be in the next Ludum dare for sure!!! :D

That's all for now...

Good luck finding your artist! The style you're going for sounds really cool.

Yep those game jam style comps are pretty full on. I like the art style you said you are wanting to create. Hope it works out for you.
