Did you place the unpacked file in the BF2 folder? Once placed in the main folder you need to create a shortcut from the Bot Changer v2.1 and start the game via Bot Changer instead of the games shortcut.
I'm not sure if this works in Win 10 (try compatibility mode)
If you still have issues try the earlier version. (v2.0)
I did that then the game crashed immediately while having only bought a new computer at microcenter a year ago.

I deleted the full game and remove the registry but my game is still 32 bots
i want my original bot count back.i uninstalled then installed the game again
but no use its still 32 bots its like the game remembers my 32 bot count pls i need answers
figured it out, go to Battlefield 2/mods/(mod)/ai and in the AIBotChanger.ai, change aiSettings.overrideMenuSettings to 0 (so it should be aiSettings.overrideMenuSettings 0)
Do the same in aidefault.ai (again, change it to aiSettings.overrideMenuSettings 0)

It said that it "Can't find the mods directory. Make sure Bot Changer is in the BF2 folder". I even place it in the mods folder and it still error lol
