The Mercenaries squad had just arrived inport to get supplies and some much needed rest, but little did they know that the terrorists had taken over the entire area already. You must retake the area at what costs!
Here is one of ol' good Hayabusa's map Port Attack revised by me been working on for some time. There is no huge difference on gameplay but it's changed massively on visual. Made completely new colormap for entire terrain and changed the trees. The map's gray ambience always bugged me out so i made it clear & sunny! I've removed the houses at mec base since i thought it would not make sense to place some buildings near a port and to remain faithful to original map story i decided to make a small mec camp. Added some xpack objects (such as the camps and trucks)
Map has been renavmeshed due to changes.
Original Map by: Hayabusa
Minimap by me.
Map supports all the gamemodes but only 16 version.
How to install?
Extract the archive and simply cut the "mods" folder and paste it to your BF2 Directory. Replace files.
If i did miss something or the map is packed wrong or if it crashes. Let me down in comments.
EDIT: I've realized i did not properly added serverarchives.con and messed it up. I've fixed it now.
Have fun.
Thanks to NAW_Kano for minimap revising.
I re did your minimap check your discord post

u guys using BF2 editor? bcs i m having issues while installing it gives me feature transfer issue and i did run with troubleshoot compatibility but still
Yes there is no other program than BF2 Editor yet as i know. What you mean by transfer issue?
I can invite you to BF2 Modding Community Discord and people there can help you.
Please do more Hayabusa maps! They are great but could use some atmospheric changes.
Exactly!
Nice port buddy *thumbsUp* =)
Not really a port but makeover let's say :D
Nice one, I beta tested virtually all of Hayabusa's maps during his Mercenaries modding days; he was a prolific mapper, many of which were brilliant.
One of his team The Dark created some outstanding maps as well, one of which was never released because he suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth after he went on to help with the Korean mod, that was eventually completed by Anthony of the Battleground 44 mod after almost a decades hiatus.
I'm always impressed when I see yet more maps being updated and created by the BF2 modding community. I just wish I had the capacity to help more but I tend to wander off frequently to other games then return when the itch starts again. BF2 is one of my all time favourite games (together with it's earlier BFV and BF1942 games)
Thank you
